A memory is something that can last forever
Embedded into the lives of all those involved in the endeavor
Something that spans the test of time
Shaping actions over the course of the climb

Some perceive them differently than others
Wanting to recreate the same or develop another
Variations take place as perceptions differ
But one thing is for certain that they flow like a river

Continuing on throughout the ups and downs
Bringing a smile to those who may consistently frown
Uplifting those who may otherwise drown
Encouraging those to achieve instead of acting like a clown

A memory can be a lot of things
A permanent stake never a fling
A cyclical moment of special activity
A stamp of value marking connectivity

Whatever they mean to you it is profound
They allow you to escape a current battleground
Influence you to exceed an expectation
Therefore it is important to honor them in all situations
