Trusting God with the Impossible

So many long years ago
God sent Moses back to free
His own dear, chosen people,
From cruel captivity.

How long they had cried and prayed,
While not seeing God’s hand;
And now at last, Moses came;
An answer, by God’s command.

They rejoiced in hopeful awe,
Until the fierce trials came,
And Pharoah’s heart was hardened;
He e’en mocked God’s holy name.

Their bondage now seemed greater;
Their trials so hard to bear.
Had their God truly answered,
And did He really even care?

More impossible it seemed,
Than it even was before,
Until they saw God’s power,
And just what He had in store.

When God’s mighty hand came down,
It was clear to all the land,
That He was all powerful;
And against Him, naught could stand!

There are times in our lives, too,
Where we cry for God to move.
Sometimes He answers quickly.
Sometimes our faith He would prove.

At times we too, see God’s hand,
In answer to many prayers;
Then things turn from bad to worse,
And we doubt God even cares.

But if we’ll wait, and trust Him,
We’ll see His powerful hand!
He sees the perfect picture,
When we cannot understand.

How He longs to show His pow’r
For those Who’ll still trust Him,
In the darkest, fiercest storm,
When reason and hope grow dim.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

2 Chrinicles 16:9a
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him.

For with God, nothing shall be impossible.

A great message. Very nice poem.
