One Step At A Time

When I am faced with something
That is too big for me,
It can feel impossible;
And the path, I can’t see.

But I have a faithful God,
Who’ll keep me all the way.
He calmly leads my footsteps,
One by one; day by day.

I’d like to see further on,
And know what lies ahead.
My God knows and sees it all,
And whispers, “Trust instead!”

He helps and guides me onward,
Just one step at a time.
He knows I cannot do it,
In one swift, instant climb.

I learn to trust my God more,
And lean upon His grace,
And find, with Him, there’s nothing
That together, we can’t face.

Just one step at a time;
I’m learning more and more,
To trust my Lord completely,
And see what He has in store!
