From The Depths

God, sometimes it feels
Like You’re not there;
That You don’t listen,
Or hear my prayer.

It’s hard to trust You
When I can’t see
Your work and answers,
Or love for me.

Sometimes You answer,
And hear my prayer;
But often You’re silent;
Seems You don’t care.

It feels like my life’s
Come crashing down,
And I can’t see you.
I fear I’ll drown!

Deep inside I know
That You’re still there,
But right now I need
To feel Your care!

I just can’t do life.
I’ve tried so hard.
I keep falling down;
Breaking apart.

Maybe its because
Life’s been about me;
My needs, wants, and name-
Not Your glory.

Without You, I’m lost;
No hope at all.
Speak truth to me, Lord,
And hear my call!

Right now I feel down,
With few who care.
Please draw me to You;
Show me You’re there!

Oh set my soul free
From lies and doubts,
And show me Yourself.
Don’t cast me out!

I want to trust You,
And feel You near.
Lord, please lift me up,
And my cry, hear!

Without You, I’m lost;
Helpless and weak.
Open my ears, Lord,
To hear You speak.

I am not worthy
Of Your great love,
But ask for mercy,
And faith to trust.

Help me not to look
At life’s hard tests,
But lift eyes to You;
For You know best.

So here I am, Lord,
Broken and weak.
Waiting before You,
To hear You speak.

Please wash me anew,
And take control.
I want to be Yours,
In body, and soul!

I’ve not much to give,
But here it is.
Will You take me, Lord,
And through me, live?

Even if You never
Answer my prayers,
I know You’re still good,
And that You care.

Help me to love You,
With all my heart;
Trust, as a child,
E’en through the dark.

I choose to trust You,
My God and Lord.
Forgive my unbelief;
I stand on Your word.

You are my Father;
I know You’re there!
Here I am, fully yours,
And in Your care.
