Where Do I Turn

When my heart is sad and lonely;
When I’ve failed again, and fallen;
When my friends falsely accuse me;
When my heart feels so torn and broken;
Then where do I turn, and run to?
To Whom is my heart truly outpoured?
Do I run to friends, or this world?
Or do I run quickly to my Lord?

When I do not know what to do;
When I cannot heal inner pain;
When I don’t know how to go on;
When I cannot cleanse away sin’s stain;
Then where do I turn and run to?
Do I believe my God’s word is true?
Will I seek Him out, and obey
Whatever His word shows me to do?

When I feel I’m walking alone;
When my loved ones are turning away;
When I can’t see God answ’ring prayer;
When I can’t understand God’s ways;
Then where do I turn, and run to?
Life’s answers, so many think they know.
Will I run to those around me,
Or to my Lord Jesus, choose to go?

When the hard tests and trials come,
Then I find my Lord Jesus so near.
When my hearts broken and afraid,
He gives peace, and cares about each tear;
For where do I turn, and run to?
My dearest Savior, Lord, and Friend!
He has ne’er once forsaken me,
And will be with me, e’en to the end!
