Christ In Me

In the moments of my day,
As I go along life’s way,
Moment by moment, I make my choice,
To yield to self, or God’s sweet voice.

If my God abides in me,
From sin and self I’m made free!
No longer am I a slave to sin,
But l let God’s fruit flow from within.

When the times of testing come,
And my flesh just wants to run,
I turn my heart to seek His sweet face,
And thank Him for His courage and grace.

When I’m deeply hurt, and sad,
And I don’t feel at all glad,
Then I thank God for His grace in me;
His comfort, and forgiveness, so free.

In times when my strength is gone,
And I feel I can’t go on,
I thank God for His great strength and pow’r,
And He carries me through each hard hour.

When my problems would take me down,
And I feel like wearing a frown,
Then I affirm my trust in my King,
And He takes care of everything.

Sometimes I don’t understand,
And I choose to trust God’s hand.
Then I thank Him for the faith to trust,
For lean upon Him, I surely must!

When things do not go my way,
And I don’t want to face the day,
I lay down my desires and will,
And thank God for directing me still.

When the dark night of trial
Weighs me down, mile by mile,
I hold the hand of my Savior Friend,
And know His presence and peace, to the end.

When God truly dwells in me,
I am filled with His beauty;
His pow’r, kindness, self control, and love;
His patience, joy, and peace, from above!

‘Tis a glorious mystery,
That my God would live in me!
I can’t see my God living within,
But by faith, His pow’r frees me from sin!

Colossians 1:26-29
Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: whereunto I also labor, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual, by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

A truth God has been teaching and revealing to me recently, and I’m learning to walk in.
