Relying On God

How often our human strength fails,
For our bodies are weak and frail.
How oft’ we face things impossible,
And are reminded how short we fall.

As we read stories in the Bible,
There was many a time that they, too,
Could not conquer, or had great weakness;
But our God could see them through!

Sometimes the people relied on God;
Sometimes they trusted their own power.
It made a great diff'rence, in the end,
As to whether they’d stand, or cower.

God knows our ev’ry need and weakness,
And nothing e’er takes Him by surprise!
If we will rely on Jesus Christ,
His pow’r can shine before others eyes!

When God’s children rely upon Him,
His power and strength will be enough!
For there’s nothing too hard for Jesus!
Nothing too impossible, or tough!

God knows how greatly we lack wisdom.
He sees, when we cannot see the way!
He bids us draw near His throne through prayer,
For all that we need, every day!

God knows and sees when no one else does.
He sees every tear falling down.
He knows so well how much we need Him,
Whether we’re poor, or of great renown.

Oh how much we need our Lord Jesus,
Moment by moment, and day by day!
He wants us to rely fully on Him,
Letting Him guide and keep us all the way!
