Beth was angry. She wished she was angry at Ella, but in all honesty, it was a far bigger force she was mad at. It was God and it was so pointless. It was like being angry at a wall. Like shouting and pounding at the sofa. In the past she’d tried withholding her worship, but although that made her feel like she was doing something, she knew that she was hurting herself more than she was affecting the Lord of the Universe. For goodness sakes, God could make the rocks worship Him, if He wanted to. Beth, on the other hand, received something from worship, which she didn’t get from anywhere
else.

At times she felt that God was teasing her, holding what she most dreamed for just out of her reach. All through His word people were healed and she’d heard stories of breast growing back, people suddenly being able to walk for the first time in their lives e.t.c. TODAY! However it had nothing been that way for Beth. She’d prayed and prayed for healing, yet nothing! She’d had to leave it somewhere between faith and acceptance which wasn’t easy.
