A lot of people looking for a fresh start
But doing so without a pure heart
Stuck in the pain of yesterday
Caught in the midst of confusion at play

Left wondering why the past didn't work
Frozen in the present with no perks
Wanting a future that doesn't align
With the actions they take each time

Hoping for something to take place
While sorrow remains written all over their face
No effort to quell the darkness they jump for
So more of the same continues to be in store

Depression isn't something anyone deserves
Anxiety isn't meant to be common for our nerves
The decisions we make and thoughts we entertain
All play a role in exactly what it is our life gains

In order to experience bliss you have to eliminate stress
If you want happiness then get rid of the toxic mess
In order to stop feeling alone step out of your isolation
If you want relationship then make meaningful connections

What works for someone else may not aid you
We're all unique in what our purpose calls us to do
Seek passion over pleasure as one is inherent
While the other is just a temporary fling that can be errant

There's only one you that will ever exist
Don't let your life evaporate like mist
Time is your most important asset
So utilize it with a zestful mindset
