Paul and Dina nodded. Samuel and Mallory went up to their children and wrapped their arms around them. Everyone hugged and cried.

"You two really are the most important people in the world to us," Samuel told Paul and Dina as he sniffled. "I promise you that things are going to be different. We're going to spend a lot more time with you and do things together as a family again, just like we used to."

Paul and Dina were so grateful to Jesus Christ for the ways He was bringing their family back to the way things should be. The entire family said grace and ate together. Mallory and Samuel promised Dina and Paul that they would start coming home from work earlier and cooking supper again. They also promised that they would teach Paul and Dina how to cook.

That night Samuel and Mallory put Dina to bed and kissed her goodnight. Mallory promised she would always take Dina to her ballet classes. Samuel and Mallory promised to attend all of Paul's track events and all of Dina's ballet recitals. They thanked Paul for assuming all the parental responsibilities for a while, but they also told him that they shouldn't have put all that on him, since Paul was Dina's older brother and not her father.

"It's all right, Mom and Dad. I love Dina as much as if she were my own daughter. I promised her I'd always be there for her, take care of her, and keep her safe. She's a blessing."

"She sure is. You're both such a blessing," Mallory said as she put her arm around her son.

"We promise to show you just how much we love and value you both from now on," Samuel added as he put his arms around both his wife and Paul.
