Author requests article critique

Paul and Dina woke up from their nap in exactly one hour. Paul checked his watch to see if it was time for him and Dina to go and get the Chinese food that their parents wanted for dinner. The Connors family always got their Chinese food from The Starving Dragon. Sure enough, it was five o'clock. Samuel and Mallory always worked late, so Paul and Dina weren't expecting them to be home until seven o'clock. Paul and Dina grabbed their coats and went out to Paul's car. "Do you feel refreshed after your nap, Paul?" Dina asked as they pulled out of the driveway.

Paul grinned and tweaked his little sister's nose. "You bet," he replied. "I feel great! I feel alive and energetic. I feel like my old self again. I just needed to snore away that hour when we were taking a nap."

"Snore away is right," Dina laughed. "You snore like a bear, big brother! You woke me up once! You always snore, but I think this time you were louder than usual!"

Paul chuckled a little. "I guess I was extremely exhausted from not getting enough sleep when I was going through that big bout of depression," he replied. "I'm sorry I woke you up, kiddo."

"It's okay. Anyway, I'm glad you slept well," Dina said. "I'm glad you're back to your old self, too. I missed your old self!"

"My old self missed you, too." Paul reached over, gently touched his little sister's cheek for a second, and put his hand back onto the steering wheel. "Well, my old self is here to stay now."

"I'm glad."
