     Thanks to the outlandish displays of women fighting men, women fighting women, and women fighting police officers, firemen and anyone in authority on the World Wide Waste of time, I would urge any man who is serious about dating to keep in mind the following: A brawling (fighting) woman is NOT wife material and should be avoided at ONCE (Proverbs 21:9; 25:24 KJV)!

     For some reason brothers, social media (SM) portrayals of dating have been made to seem complicated. Mainstream mess (MSM) descriptions of the dating scene continue to be absurd, further complicated with the ‘trend’ of the week, ranging from ‘Shrekking’ (dating down) to ‘Hypergamy’ (dating up). Yes, these last two trends, quite literally, came out within hours of each other in a major newspaper, articles, stock photos, and the like.

     Be aware: The Christian man who is seeking a wife is better to stick with the tried-and-true methods of dating. Never mind what the ‘wizards of smart’ are doing in Hollywood, in sports, entertainment or social media. Their standards change with the publicity. Be real. The first encouragement is the following: If YOU know who you are brother, seek to DATE a woman who knows herself. In other words, don’t hang out with the following type of women, as outlined in The Book of Proverbs—and this is a short list:

            The Brawling Woman

            The Unteachable Woman

            The Unsaved Woman

            The Evil Woman

            The Adulterous Woman

            The Seductive Woman

            The Unforgiving Woman

            The Lying Woman

            The Moral Woman (acting Christian without Christ)

     My hope, brothers, is that you are true, Christian men! Thus, you will have tapped into your spiritual gifts through the Holy Spirit. One of these gifts is the gift of discernment—an ability to determine, in a quick amount of time, the true, hidden character of an individual on a first meeting. You have heard that a picture is worth a thousand words? Well, the Holy Spirit can give you the ability of getting a spiritual ‘snap shot’ of a person without them (or you) saying a word.

     We ARE living in the last days. The masks of many people are slipping off and they are revealing themselves as ‘Fool’s Gold’…looking like the ‘real thing’ on the outside but are nowhere near the person that they ‘claim’ to be.

     THIS is why a Christian man must marry IN the faith (II Corinthians 6:14 KJV). Thus, you must be INCREDIBLY careful in whom you choose to date. The wrong woman will shipwreck your faith, a little at a time. They will take YOU out of your relationship with Jesus Christ.

     One of the things that the wrong woman will put to you about your faith is a choice: “It’s either your ministry or ME!” This woman can trick you and—eventually—trap you (Matthew 7:17 KJV) if you aren’t discerning nor using that gift of discernment.

     My young friend, don’t be fooled by the ‘whims’ and ‘video clips’ about dating and relationships. YOU are in the driver’s seat…as YOU are the one who is the initiator in the relationship. Marriage represents the ULTIMATE in your decision abilities. Yes, there are going to be some ups and downs, missteps, and wrong choices. Much of these items can be washed away by MAKING SURE that any young woman whom you may be interested is a TRUE Christian. One who encourages and boosts your faith in Jesus Christ—not someone who ‘tears down’ your faith during your dating time.

     Avoid the women I’ve listed. You can find more in The Book of Proverbs. Especially in Proverbs, Chapter 31—the characteristics of the RIGHT type of woman to date.
