I get the feeling
that Daniel wasn’t loud.
That’s probably not how he stood out.

I get the feeling
that Daniel didn’t swear.
I think that made people talk & stare.

I get the feeling
that after Daniel prayed,
he did a dance before he obeyed.

I get the feeling
that Daniel had no fear of man
and people wondered what made him stand.

I get the feeling
that Daniel tried to be behind the scenes
but he was always promoted and always seen.

I get the feeling
that Daniel walked in peace
because he let God fill all his needs.

I get the feeling
that Daniel didn’t have much
except the pearl of great price to clutch.
