More Than A Feeling

I feel the fire in me,

I want to shout, dance and sing, all at the same time,

And proclaim to all the world, “God is good!”

If I had wings to fly,

I would zoom across the world in a heartbeat,

I’m ready to move mountains and cross valleys for God,

Sail the oceans to the furthest island,

So that every corner of the world can experience God’s love,

I want everyone to know this feeling,

Even the forces of hell can’t stop me today,

I will never stop praising God,

And then…

7 AM Monday morning,

And I’m back to planet Earth,

Half awake, with groggy eyes,

I barely have the strength to leave my bed,

And that’s when it hits me,

Life won’t always be rosy,

Even fast runners become tired,

But whether I am riding the waves,

Or drowning beneath them,

Each day I continue to live by faith in God,

That is all I need.
