For a second, I caught a glimpse of something eternal,

But not the type you look for in fairy tales,

Where the prince and princess promise to live happily ever after,

Only to wake back up to reality the next day,

Yet for a moment,

In a world where promises and dreams may fail,

And cherished moments fade as quickly as they come,

I witness a faint echo of the invisible,

An elusive reminder,

That there is more than just the everyday,

A window into a hope unseen,

Stirring the depths of my heart,

For something greater,

Or someone,

For a second, I caught a glimpse of something eternal,

In the kindness I received from a stranger,

A reminder that there is a God who loves me,

Who invites me to know him.
