I’m on the track to danger
with many twists and turns,
where God becomes a stranger
lost by what my heart yearns.

Stumbling on a darkened path
knees scarred by my failure,
busy hiding from life’s wrath
too busy for the Saviour.

Time to take a different road
to one defined by grace,
releasing my heavy load
leaving behind disgrace.

Now on the track to glory
with the blessing of His peace,
living a brand-new story
where love and light increase.

The road still has its ups and downs
but take a breath, you have a friend
who’s with you through all sights and sounds
on His blessings you can depend.

Time to take a different road
to one defined by grace,
releasing my heavy load
with Jesus’ love, replace.

Blessings of true value;
Blessings of a heart restored;
I’m now on the track to life

Time to take a different road
to one defined by grace,
releasing my heavy load
living in Christ’s embrace!
