Joyful  Wise Virgins,

Be Joyful For The Bridegroom Cometh

Get Wisdom

Wisdom is the principal thing;

therefore get wisdom:

and with all thy getting get understanding.

Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour,

when thou dost embrace her.

She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace:

a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

Proverb 4:7-9 kjv

Get Understanding

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea,

sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Through thy precepts I get understanding:

therefore I hate every false way.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,

and a light unto my path.

I have sworn, and I will perform it,

that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

Psalm 119:103-106  kjv

Prepare Your Vessels

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels,

that the excellency of the power may be of God,

and not of us.”

II Corinthians 4:7 kjv

“While we look not at the things which are seen,

but at the things which are not seen:

for the things which are seen are temporal;

but the things which are not seen are eternal.

II Corinthians 4:18 kjv

Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law?

Jesus said unto him,

“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,

and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it,

Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

                                Matthew 22:36-40

I pray that this message brings comfort, reassurance and direction to the reader. The focus of this article addresses the 10 Virgins Parable and those surrounding it.  Specifically it addresses the statement of the cry made: “Go ye out to meet Him.” Matthew 25:6 kjv

The above scriptures are first mentioned in this article to get your attention, because the Lord requests that we get wisdom, He also says to get understanding as well as get prepared for His return.  What does this mean?  His constant reminder is to remember who we are.  He wants us to remember we are in this world, but we are not of this world.  To make our hearts and paths straight through Him for he is the returning King.  His mission brought and continues to bring salvation to those who believe in Him and on His name.  The Apostles, by the power of the Holy Spirit, continued spreading the gospel announcing salvation through Christ, the kingdom of God and his return and that we must believe in Him in order to enter in.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:

I am come that they might have life,

and that they might have it more abundantly.”

John 10:10 kjv

After believing in Christ and receiving salvation and eternal life through Him, our next step is to move onto the abundant life promised by the renewing of our minds. This renewing of the mind is learning His truths.

He Woke Me Up

About two to  three years ago, when the Lord woke me from my sleep, he brought my attention to the story of the 10 Virgins (five wise and five foolish), and caused me to ponder the same basic question he asks us all.  What do you think is the meaning of this parable.  Read and try to discern what you think is its true meaning.  I gave the Savior (Yeshua) the same answer as most everyone.  After giving that answer, the following two years I continued to ponder it because I knew that wasn’t all, and it was probable that there was something more I was not seeing.  Something was hidden.  There is something we are missing.  He wants us to see this hidden thing; if we look more closely, by studying, it will jump out at you with a little investigation.

This parable is full of symbolism which many have addressed, and this paper is not about that.  There are just a couple of words, just a couple of words that I missed in reading this parable that I’d like to address today.  See if you can see it.  See if your heart will allow you to discern and receive it.  Hear what the Word of the Lord is saying.  Read with intent what He says.  He never changes; remember that.  Remember Christ’s warnings of how you hear before you begin to read this article. Hear the Lord’s warning and please take to heart in all of your studying and pondering of the Word, what Jesus (Yeshua) says, and apply His teaching to your heart.

He said to them, “A lamp is not brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed, is it? Is it not [brought in] to be put on the lampstand? For nothing is hidden, except to be revealed; nor has anything been kept secret, but that it would come to light [that is, things are hidden only temporarily, until the appropriate time comes for them to be known]. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear and heed My words.” Then He said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear. By your own standard of measurement [that is, to the extent that you study spiritual truth and apply godly wisdom] it will be measured to you [and you will be given even greater ability to respond]--and more will be given to you besides. For whoever has [a teachable heart], to him more [understanding] will be given; and whoever does not have [a yearning for truth], even what he has will be taken away from him.” Mark 4: 21-25 AMP

A Childhood Memory

The Gift of Truth

Before I tell you this memory, I’d like to add this comment.  In no way, shape or form am I dishonoring my parents or grandparents in sharing this childhood experience with you. I am delivering this story in the fondest memories of my loved ones.  We all live in this fallen world, and by the grace of our Lord Jesus does He correct us and it is he who makes our paths straight.

My intention is to bring awareness to the hearts and minds of the saints in how we have received misinformation through the generations.  All parents are to be respected and honored as commanded by the LORD in the ten commandments

Knowing that the Lord had more to show me about the ten virgins I waited. I’ve waited for about two years and with this I knew it was time.  I waited until suddenly one morning as clear as day, a childhood memory crossed my mind.   It was almost as if I was reliving these events over again, joyous Christmas mornings for a child.  Visits from Santa to the homes of the small and the great, the rich and the poor.  We all have taken joy in celebrating the celebration of celebrations; “with the world.”  We rise early, even before the sun wipes its eyes from its sleep; so that we might  gaze and see what Santa has placed under the tree for such a good and wonderful little one as me.

As with the children of my youth and the young of this age, I was enamored with the thoughts of the arrival of this yearly event.  The anticipation was sometimes so great that it was almost the only thing I could think about, for at least a month before.  Christmas is such a time of wonder for a child.  As a child, I was taught about the arrival of our Savior on this day as a part of the celebration as well, coupled with pageants, parties and school plays; of whose memories lasts a life time. Glittering lights, snow and snowman, and even my birthday came just before.  It was a glorious time of excitement and happiness for me.  My parents went all out, or should I say, my mother and my grandmothers.  The cooking, the dinners, gift wrapping, the shopping and decorating the house. All of it was such fun and excitement to me.

I was one just as most, who believed in the big guy dressed in red and white with a long white beard.  This man lived in the North Pole with his wife and elves, so they say.  He owned a sleigh that he most likely only used once a year to deliver gifts; all in one night (might I add) to all the good boys and girls all over the world.  What a formidable man he must be (Is how a child would think and believe).  What a phenomenal yearly event, and how excited I was, year after year.

Until this one year.  There was a year that ushered in the season, just as any year but, this year was different.  This year my child-like faith in Santa’s visit was within a new wrapped gift.  The gift that had come this year was the “gift of truth.”  Things such as these types of gifts can initially seem when you first open it, to be just awful, and so very hurtful, but later you realize if you receive that gift of truth it’s beautiful and life changing.  The truth that I learned as a (still relatively) young child, was that Santa did not really visit my home, or the homes of each child in the world to deliver gifts.  The milk and cookies I left out the night before was actually consumed by my Dad, and the foot prints I saw, and envisioned to be that of the Great Elf Santa, were the foot prints of the newspaper guy delivering the paper.

My faith in Santa was shattered, while cousins laughed and teased me because of my strong faith in make believe.  I didn’t know it was make believe.  They laughed and laughed, not realizing that this truth they had exposed; which was kept secret and under cover, had changed my way of thinking for the rest of my life.  I don’t recall how I approached this revelation to my parents.  What I do recall is the deep imprint this truth made in my heart, and promising myself to never teach this to my children, which I have kept from that point on.  I promised myself that I would not share such a twist of the truth that had shattered my reality.

This is a childhood memory that changed my life and began for me the course of learning and wanting to know the truth.  The truth is that there are covered things that we don’t know about or realize in our spiritual lives until; as Jesus (Yeshua) so eloquently said, “those hidden things are uncovered  at His appointed time.”  For me this is that of the Parable of the Ten Virgins.  Please reread the above Mark 4:21-25 and allow this truth from our Savior to settle into your hearts.  Couple that scripture with those mentioned below.  Please ponder them as we move forward:

“O LORD, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in the day of distress, the nations will come to You from the ends of the earth, and they will say, “Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit. Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?” Jeremiah 16:19-20 kjv

“Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?” Jeremiah 2:5 kjv

“The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children's children will I plead.”   Jeremiah 2:8-9 kjv

The King Is Coming

And His Reward Is With Him

We should be expressing our anticipation and excitement; much more than that of a child on Christmas morning; when we think and speak about the arrival of  the soon coming King, our Lord and Savior. I truly believe as you read you will most likely acknowledge what I am speaking to you as confirmation to what the Spirit has already been quietly and gently stating through the word.  You are dedicated to studying the scripture and prayer so, this should be confirmation of His word to you.  Hebrews 4:12   Allow the Holy Spirit and the knowledge He has taught you through the word to discern what I am speaking.  Whether this is true or not.  Knowing and remembering that the Lord promised that the Holy Spirit will be sent by the Father in His name and will teach you all things and will remind you of everything that Christ has taught.  John 14:26  So in looking at and examining what I am saying keep this in mind.  That my words should be confirming what you already have read and studied in His Word.

There are reasons The King speaks the way that he speaks in this parable.  He emphasizes to all that in the Kingdom and in Him and in the Father there are no grey areas.  There is no room for compromise or misrepresentation of His teaching.  If you recall my Christmas experiences, as a child there was much adding to and changing the truth (which has ushered in shameful things throughout time).  There is no adding or taking away from His word.  There is only truth and the Way.  Jesus says He is the only Way.  He does not compromise, nor are there any grey areas in the Lord’s teaching.  There is grace yes.

Side Bar:

Know What  Grace Is?  It’s God’s generosity, kindness, patience and mercy to the undeserving, that through faith in His Son we might receive salvation.

Grace is not given so that we may continue to sin.  Grace is not given for us to practice disobedience.  Grace is given to us by the Father, so that by His grace he works in us to will and to do His good pleasure.  That is grace. Again I say, grace is given to us by the Father so that by His grace he works in us to will (that is to purpose in our hearts to do what He commands) and to do (to perform) His good pleasure (that is; what pleases Him, which is what brings about His Righteousness in us).  Re:  Philippians 2:12-13 , Ephesians 2:8-9 , Romans 5:1-2

Now back to my statement about children being so enamored and filled with the thoughts of the arrival of the yearly event called “Christmas” (There is a reason I am hopping on the Christmas Holiday.  Please be patient with me).  Look and see how excited the world becomes and how excited children become at the approaching holiday season.  Observe and see how everyone gets prepared in his or her own way; and in their hearts, to receive.  In respect to this let us now revisit the “Parable Of The Ten Virgins.”  Please keep in mind what fashion you are reading these scriptures.  Remember we receive to the degree that we hear or way  we want to receive the word.  Please remember to have a teachable spirit.

There were five virgins that were wise, and there were five virgins that were foolish.  In today’s vernacular; pertaining to the subject at hand, this means there are those that in reading this small word; and in reading the parable of the 10 Virgins, will receive what the Spirit is saying and there are those who will not.  As the proverb states a wise man sees trouble coming and removes himself from it. Proverbs 27:12

Many when given eyes to see and ears to hear, will make adjustments as they hear the word and as the Spirit shows and strengthens them to come out of things.

And then

There are those who will continue to take lightly the word (even when warned) and not make adjustments in their lives or in their hearts, as the Spirit urges them. They will become resistant and unmoveable, no matter how you may try to persuade them that there is a storm coming.  They will quench the Spirit.

What do sailors do when they see a storm coming?  They heed the warning signs of nature and prepare their vessel so that it is not destroyed, but there are those who will not budge, no matter what cry comes forth to do so.  I believe the LORD calls this type of behavior stubborn and stiff-necked.

What will you do in response to hearing the midnight cry?  Will you understand the cry?

Will you obey the warning, as to what to do? What  is this midnight cry?

The Midnight Cry

“Behold The Bridegroom Cometh.”

“Go ye out to meet Him.”

This is the gift.  This is the truth.  This is the cry!  Behold!  The Bridegroom is coming.  The midnight cry is sounding, and has been for almost 2,000 years to  born again, Spirit filled believers; wise virgins, the cry is telling us what to do.  This is the gift in each and every circumstance of life. Choose Life.  Choose Christ, for he is coming.  Choose Life.  Choose Christ.  Do you see it?  Go ye out to meet Him.  I’ve read this scripture many times, as I am sure you have. Are you seeing what the cry is saying?  I had not completely seen it.

The words are wrapped in the English translation package, so you must unwrap it, in order to see it.  I didn’t see it because it was wrapped as a Greek transliteration.  I opened the gift and saw its meaning.  “Go ye out, to meet Him.”  Look at the meanings of the six easy to read words ( or so you think it is easy).

In simply reading verse 6 it says:

“And at midnight there was a cry made,

Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.”

Matthew 25:6 kjv

Now, I am not saying that I can read or understand Greek or Hebrew.  I am relying on the Holy Spirit; as my Teacher, as I read and study the word, as we are commanded to do.  Here are three definitions of the words to help in your comprehending of the meaning.  Please be attentive to what the Spirit is teaching you through the word.  Here are three different references for the term:

Part of Speech: noun feminine

Mounce Concise Greek-English Dictionary

G529

ἀπάντησις

apantēsis

3x: a meeting, encounter; εἰς ἀπάντησιν, to meet, Mat_25:6; Acts 28:15;      1Th 4:17.

So in seeing and understanding what I think I’m seeing and understanding, I must go out of something to meet Him.  Or rather we must go out or leave and escape something to meet and encounter Him.

For years when I read these words I read and comprehended it in the same way that many red-blooded western mind-set disciples of Christ read and understood it  as:  “Go ye out to meet Him.“ to mean.  Originally, for me it meant to focus on Christ,  and prepare to meet Him.  Yes, for me this is very true every day of my life, yet I missed a great portion of its meaning in my understanding.  When I review the definitions of the above words, more completely, and am completely honest with myself, and if  I were to completely apply its meaning, then for me it means much more.  To me there is more to see.

Opening the Gift

A warning before I go any further.  The following few paragraphs may cause one to feel somewhat heated as they read.  With this as a possibility, I ask you to humbly continue reading as you consider the spirit in which this message is delivered.  This message is not a message  intending to deliver feelings of condemnation, because Christ’s Spirit does not condemn.  His Spirit is the Spirit of prophecy.  Because of this revelation, His Spirit may cause you to experience a sense of discomfort because of the conviction of heart.  If this is what you experience as you read be assured …….If I can take a liberty here and ask you to look at this as a beautifully wrapped gift.  It’s wrapping is glistening and inviting in appearance saying, “Open me please.”  “I contain the truth of the Word.”  Great care has been taken in wrapping this gift so that it is appealing to the eye; with colorful  ribbons and bows.  There are two tags attached to the gift which reads:  “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees.”  Jesus warned his disciples, just as he still does today (Matthew 16:6-12), and the second tag reads:  I’m warning you as well; Scribes, Pharisees, Hypocrites about your behavior.  Matthew 23.  This is the truth of this gift.  This is the truth of the gospel.

Now when opening this gift you just might find a few of your favorite things.  It has been so beautifully presented.  Look inside and find a plethora (meaning an abundance and excess of things) in this box. Consider what’s in this box has been there for thousands of years, and nobody told us that we had inherited this.  Such as:

  • Organized religion vs the Kingdom of God (Jesus is both Lord and King.  His kingdom is not of this world.  He says we are in this world not of this world.  Religion and its practices is of this world.)

  • Religious practices and traditions vs the teachings of Christ

  • Praying to false gods vs returning to and crying out with all your hearts to the great I AM

  • Communing in pagan holidays when we have been instructed in both the Old and New Covenant not to seek out how other nations worship their gods; to do the same to Him

  • Allowing mammon to be our source and god vs serving and obeying the one True God

  • Making covenants and/or oaths in secret organizations and taking their oaths vs acknowledging them as an occult, but covering and hiding  these sins from others in the body of Christ, knowing they would object (they have not gone un-noticed by the LORD)

  • Participating in various forms of sorcery and divination; for example:  Ouija boards, fortune telling, astrology, ancestor worship vs belief in the name of Christ our Savior and the benefits of trusting, supporting and having faith in the Name that is above all names

  • Leaders and members practicing all forms of idolatry including:  fornication, adultery, drunkenness vs acknowledging such as sin which should be taught against not seen as common in the church

  • There is so much more that we must leave….

Wow, what truth.  Look at this box.  It reminds me of that which had been hidden from me as a child, but then the truth exposed the lie.  We find all of this labeled as today’s Christianity. We have been excellent disciples, following these paths and teachings.  I say this is not the teaching of Jesus.  This is not the way of Yeshua.  This is not how the Anointed One served the Father.  These are lies that we have been following and have devoted our hearts to.  This is another gospel.  This is not the gospel that Yeshua commissioned to the disciples at His ascension.  I challenge you to review the four gospels.  Read the teachings of the Apostles in the New Testament.  This is not it.  Opening this gift has exposed many lies.

The Shout. “Go Ye Out To Meet Him”

“Go ye out to meet Him, translates as we should be moving away from, and coming out of all of these things (behaviors, traditions of man that choke out the word, heresies, practices of religion, and pagan practices that have been injected into our faith(of which Paul warned three years straight in his letters that there will be those coming into their assemblies bringing heresies). We must take the time to consider what we have heard many ministers warn against and take their warnings to heart.

God is not mocked. He means what he says.  If we review the two chapters preceding the Parable of the 10 Virgins you will see clearly that He says what He means and He means what he says.  Yes, we are in the period of the dispensation of grace.  This grace is not given to continue in sin, but it is given so that we can be strengthen in  righteousness and we must  walk in that wisdom.

To encounter Christ we must take His precious salvation seriously and not quench the Holy Spirit, but yield to what He is saying to your spirit.  If you are His, you know his voice.  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever.  What the LORD spoke to Israel he also says to us.  If you hear His voice do not harden your hearts as in the time of provocation.

A Word Of Advice

If you have been experiencing a tug in your heart (about your walk with Christ, whether it is personal sin, things that were done in the dark, or following traditions and religious practices that you know were not observed by the Apostles or the first century church)don’t ignore the tug, but yield to what the Spirit is placing in your heart.  Pray to the Father and submit to his will and he will strengthen you.

I know, this is a challenging thing; for just as you, I have wrestled with these things.  Those who are in Christ wrestle against the enemy.  Remember, we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  But I know in whom my strength and victory lies.  My question is, who do you love?  Who do you follow?  Who do you serve?  Do you follow Jesus’? Are you walking in His way or are you following the ways of the world?  You choose.  Christ said, if you love me you will keep my commandments.  This I know, when I am weak, He is strong, and that is through His grace.

Remember what Yeshua said to John when giving him the revelation.  As he was speaking of future disciples, He said that we overcame Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimonies.  Many of the battles we encounter are in our minds and hearts because we love our loved ones and want to please them.  We so love ourselves.  We love how things have always been.  We love appeasing our flesh by following those old traditions because we were born into it not knowing, and as children, not having a choice, but now you do have a choice.  “Go ye out to meet Him.”  Remove and separate yourselves from these things, so that you might truly meet (encounter) the Lord.

Be strong, be diligent and be faithful.  When we are face to face in these environments and situations; I pray now and ask you Lord to make a way of escape for us when tempted to succumb and yield to the temptation of practicing things that we know in our hearts is not taught by You.

Guard that wonderful gift that is given to you Ephesians 2:8.  Keep it dear to your heart.  Guard and watch over it and learn what that salvation entails.  Keep it from the corrupt exposure of the world, sin, religion and the traditions of man.  For these are some of the things our Savior will judge, and these are what he will be destroying at His return; when he sets up his Kingdom, according to His statements to his disciples in Matthew 24.

This has been a word specifically to you

Like many in the body of Christ, Yeshua will give me a word.  When this happens,  the Holy Spirit places topics in my heart to address.  He then deals with me and then sends this message through me to you.  I know this topic has made some of you uncomfortable.  When Jesus (Yeshua’s) light shines in dark places, it does cause discomfort.  Remember the Father corrects and chastens us; because, He loves.  His  love is so perfect towards us that He corrects us so that we don’t perish.  Thus, He shines light on those dark places to save us; to give us hope, to give us peace, to bring restoration and conversion.  He presents this love, drawing His children  to return completely (with all that is in them) to Him.

Please mark, “Go ye out to meet Him,” in your minds, and purpose to prepare your vessels, because you are the Lord’s Bride.  Remember  the pertinent sayings of the Apostle John while pondering what I have presented to you:

1 John 2:4 The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;  But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.  He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Don’t love the world

1Jn 2:15-17  Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.

With all of this in mind, I also know that if we fall,  He is faithful to pick us up. He is faithful to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Our Lord is faithful, and  He will lift us up, strengthen us and empower us to continue this race.

I pray that these few words have empowered and moved you to a more focused purpose in Christ.  All these things that I have said, please test these things to prove them through your studying, and if you find these things to be true, I pray that you are encouraged to apply these truths in your hearts and to your lives.

Our King is coming.  The Bridegroom is coming.  How will He find us?  Go ye out to meet Him Bride.

“And at midnight there was a cry made,

Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.”

A Prayer to Go Out To Meet Him

Most Wonderful and loving Father; full of kindness,  tender mercies and truth; how majestic is Your name in all the earth.  We seek your face.  We seek Your presence.  We seek your direction.  We seek Your grace.  We seek that we might know You.  That we might know you, and not religion.  We seek to know you and not the traditions of man or the fellowship of this world.  We seek that we might know you and encounter Your Son Yeshua through personal  fellowship and in relationship in Your word.

We desire to prepare our vessels to meet and encounter King Jesus (King Yeshua), and we humbly bow before You, Abba Father, and ask that this will be done through your Spirit.  We also pray that the anointing oil of Your Spirit prepare us according to your will.  That by your Spirit you will lead us into all truth, and mark in our hearts and minds the mind of Christ, so that we are pleasing to you and are prepared for every good work.

Please forgive us for those things that we have done in ignorance and those things that we have done, knowing that we were wrong.  We return and cry out to you with all our heart, and will walk according to what you have taught through your Son Yeshua.  For we pray this prayer in Jesus (in Yeshua’s) name.  Amen

And I now pray as Paul prayed in I Thessalonians 5:23-24 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

And this I also pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.  Phil 1:9-11

For I pray this prayer in the name of Yeshua the Messiah and King. Amen
