I’m on quite a journey
to find my own true worth,
searching in the shadows
my fear starts to give birth.

Looking at my achievements
no value there is found,
in the riches I have made
there’s nothing too profound.

I search people’s opinion
of who I am inside,
it leaves me feeling empty
for they’re a hopeless guide.

I see all of my failures
mistakes that I regret,
desiring acceptance
beauty; you can forget…

Then I view the Son of Man
being nailed to a tree,
all because of love for me
to my worth He is the key.

Chosen through His favour
pursued by His grace divine,
now heir of the Father
me; His precious blood defines.
