When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother. Luke 8:51 NIV

There was no need for all there to see the miracle which Jesus was about to perform. Of course, He wanted the little girl’s parents to be there to see Him raise her. He also wanted three of His disciples present that this miracle could be seen by them. We would expect that Peter and John would be two of the three. When Jesus does something wonderful in your life do you prefer it be done in private, or would you like many to see the miracle firsthand?
