A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into the pigs, and he gave them permission. When the demons came out of the man, they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned. Luke 8:32-33 NIV
Next, why did Jesus allow the demons to enter into the pigs? Again, the response provided here is speculative. By allowing the demons to enter the pigs, the power and authority of Jesus is shown. They would not have been able to enter the pigs if Jesus had not allowed it. Secondly, the final destruction of all evil has not yet come. The appointed time for all evil to cease to exist shall come, but that time has not yet come.
