     After getting a good look at the men attending the recent ‘Carnival of Destruction’ (otherwise known as the Democratic National Convention) event in Chicago, I MUST say that the ‘ideal male’—at least in the eyes of the lesbians, pro-abortionists, and other ‘alphabet women’ appearing on the liberal leaning networks (which few real Americans bother to watch)—was one who did whatever liberal women wanted them to do.

      Oh yes—lest I forget—the man had to have plenty of money for liberal women’s ‘pet causes’, be willing to bankroll them as ‘social justice warriors’, and NOT keep them from fornicating or committing adultery with other men.  In short?  The ‘ideal male’ of the 21^st Century does what he is told by ‘liberal strong women’ in their lives without having a backbone of their own.  If one supports THIS definition of manhood in the 21^st Century, no wonder the Democrats are losing REAL Black men (and upright Black women) by the thousands!

      If I may get out my Certified Old Guy hat for a moment, back in the day, we would have called such a man ‘a henpecked rooster’, or (for the sake of time) ‘nothing but breath and britches’.  A henpecked man is NOT a man, but a male, period.  And no REAL woman wants to find out—when the chips are down—that ‘her’ man AIN’T a man.

     Years ago, when I began my column writing career, I developed a test comparing ‘males’ and ‘men’.  I believe that I need to dust it off, update it, and roll it out again for today’s manbun-wearing males who haven’t been schooled in true manhood:

 1)      A Man does not carry a grudge.  A Male looks for ways to get even at every opportunity.  ARE YOU A MAN OR A MALE?

 2)       A Man takes every opportunity to better himself.  A Male complains, blames, and loves to exist rather than to improve himself.  ARE YOU A MAN OR A MALE?

 3)      A Man is measured by his character.  A Male is measured by his sex drive.  ARE YOU A MAN OR A MALE?

 4)      A Man gives to his community.  A Male takes from his community.  ARE YOU A MAN OR A MALE?

 5)      A Man is a protector of women, treats all women respectfully in general and looks forward to being committed to one woman in particular.  A Male views a woman as chattel and is not committed to any one woman.  ARE YOU A MAN OR A MALE?

 6)      A Man is secure in his Manhood and is striving to help other Men realize that same security.  A Male is not secure in his Manhood, and uses the gun, knife, pipe or his mouth to tear down others.  ARE YOU A MAN OR A MALE?

 7)      A Man has established a firm relationship with Jesus Christ, church, and other godly Men.  A Male uses the church for his own gain, shuns godly council and training, and seeks other gods when trouble comes.  ARE YOU A MAN OR A MALE?

 8)      A Man is sought for his vision.  A Male is shunned for his excuses.  ARE YOU A MAN OR A MALE?

      I guarantee you, my brother, the answers you give here will determine where you need to improve to make progress in your day-to-day world.  Since God created man, we know that Satan encourages the building of males.  Who is in your corner in the 21^st Century brother?  Feel free to pass this column along to a young man who may need some encouragement.
