Let me encourage you to develop a new philosophy of life. My philosophy when it comes to helping people is to do what I can, when I can, where I can. 

You want to get wisdom? 

Get more wisdom when you can and where you can. If you want to get more wealth, do so if possible. If you have the ability to make more money, is it proper to do so? I think the same question can be asked about your health.

If you knew how to improve your health, is it permissible to do so, to get stronger, to get healthier? Why, of course.

If it's possible to get wealthier, is it permissible to do so? Well, I think it is. Nobody said anything about getting rich. Everybody's interested in getting rich today, but there's not a lot of talk about getting more wisdom.

That's what God is concerned with. 

With all your getting, get wisdom, get understanding. Ultimately that means to obtain the salvation of the Lord. Salvation is of the Lord, but when we get true wisdom, we get Christ, who is made unto us wisdom and righteousness. So let us think about how we can get more in order to give more.

If you want to get more out of your life, you got to put more into your life. That's really the secret. 

Let me give you an example. Take a cup of water. Pour it out. Now you have an empty cup. Flip it upside down, what do you get? Nothing. But if you want to get more out of that cup, If you want to get anything out of that cup, you got to pour something into it, right? So you pour it halfway full and you empty it and you get a half a cup of water. If you want to get more out of that cup,  you got to fill up. Fill it up more. All right, fill it all the way to the top and you get a full cup when you empty it out. It’s the same thing with your life. People want to get so much out of life, but they're not willing to put into their life. 

You got  to put into your life. You got to read the books. You've got to study health if you want to get healthy. You got to study wealth if you want to get wealthier. If you want to get wiser, you got to study wisdom. You got to study the scriptures which are able to make you wise unto salvation. 

So, you can call this personal development, the personal development  - there are two aspects to personal development. There is what I call a transient transformation or temporary transformation which involves this world, the terrestrial realm and there is a transcendental transformation which involves the spirit or the soul, to be transformed with eternal benefits. Paul says be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. It is the Holy Spirit that transforms us and really changes us into the image of Christ,  which is the greatest transformation, which is the greatest development. 

Okay, so a lot of these people that talk about personal growth, personal development, self improvement - they're only talking generally about the physical or maybe their mental  faculties, the way they think.

Developing a better philosophy is all fine and good as far as it goes, but what good will it do if you end up in hell? You see, most of these people don't talk about Jesus Christ. They don't talk about following Him, becoming like him, doing good like Him. 

Jesus went about doing good. He healed people, He spoke well. He discerned between good and evil. So often today people compromise. They will actually fail to speak out in order to enrich themselves materially. If speaking the truth means to lose money, they would rather not speak the truth because they love money. And of course we know the love of money is the root of all evil. 

All right, think on these things and I hope that they challenge your thinking to a higher level. May the Lord bless you.
