Fast and prayer are important in the life of the follower of Christ. These must come though from desire within the heart and not in adherence to some man-made rule. Obedience to God is not adherence to man-made rules. God is after the heart. The true Christian has the Holy Spirit dwelling within. The Spirit of God will direct the believer in the ways of the Lord.
