Every disciple of Jesus Christ is rightly described as sons and daughters of God. It is a popular description and the children of God proclaim the same. Meaning that other people and the sons and daughters describe themselves so. It is an adequate description.

Apostle John discloses,
"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure." 1 John 3:2-3

Beloved, do you know that our description as sons and daughters of God must become manifest in every aspect of our lives? Our conduct must not betray the description. Both must agree together.

In other words, likeness is the word to watch. Our Father, God, is pure. To be like Him, we must keep on purifying ourselves until we come to His full stature. Other people, as well as sons and daughters of God, will be able to echo, "Like Father, like sons and daughters."

That is one of the reasons being a Christian stands out of all religions. We know Whom we are patterning our lives after. He is coming to take us home to be with Him forever. I don't know if you know of any religious leaders who promised the same to their followers.

Therefore, let our lives portray our description as sons and daughters of the Most High God. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
