Life not only begins at forty -- it also starts to show.

The Psalms are bursting at the seams with encouragement. I know
there are verses where David weeps over his sin, but you can open
the Psalms to almost any page and find a verse to encourage you.

So, if you're having a case of the grumblies today, take a timeout
and sit down with the Psalms. As you read, start with a highliter
pen and start marking the verses of uplift. At some later date
when your day seems to be going in reverse, sit down again with
the Psalms and just scan all those hilighted verses.

If you don't get a boost, your chin is dragging in the dust and you
need serious help from God. Know what? -- He's there to provide
it. Read Psa. 31:19 (niv), "How great is your goodness, which you
have stored up for those who fear you.
