Romans 6:5-6 (KJV) For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

If I were to leave you with a thought, it would simply be this: we're becoming too comfortable with sin.

People of God, we have a big problem and the problem is sin. There seems to be a shift taking place within the body of Christ. The shift is not easily seen because it's subtle and unsuspecting. The shift is a change from righteousness to unrighteousness: a compromising of the word of God and an anti Christ like behavior.

The Apostle James tells us in the book of James chapter 4:4 (KJV) says Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Preachers want to be friends with the world. Pastors are hanging out with entertainers at award shows and banquets and trying to establish business and financial connections in order to get a leg up in society.

So called men and women of God are connected to fraternities and sororities. Some them are members of masonic blue lodges in the community. These organizations are anti Christ and are rooted in ancient Egyptian and Babylonian God worship.

We're becoming too comfortable with sin.

Whenever you see a man wearing a dress for entertainment purposes, You've become too comfortable with sin. Whenever you see a man wearing a purse at the basketball game, you've become too comfortable with sin. Whenever you see a celebrity at the mall and you just got to get an autograph, you've become too comfortable with sin. The only star is Jesus Christ.

Slowly and subtly, the enemy is finding a way to cause the body of Christ to lower our spiritual defense so that he can land a four punch combination: two to the head, two to the body.

Second Corinthians 2:11 says we're not ignorant of Satan's devices so that means we know what the devil is doing we just go along with it. we're too comfortable.

I believe that a reason why backsliding is so prevalent among the body of Christ is because we're comfortable with sin. And because of that, our flesh will cause us to backslide on God. Although God is married to the backslider, I believe backsliding can be exploited as a constant behavior to keep us away from God.

2 Corinthians 13:5 (KJV) says Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Examine yourself. One thing we don't like to do is examine ourselves because we may not like what we find. Instead of examining ourselves, we prefer to examine someone else.

The whole world is in sin. We're living in a time where preachers are winking at sin and frowning upon living right. Whenever the world is able to influence you to compromise the gospel of Jesus Christ so they don't feel convicted, you have a problem. Whosoever will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. You can be friendly but you don't have to be friends. If you have to become friends with the world, you've probably become too comfortable with sin.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (KJV) says Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

You can't have one foot in the world and one foot in the church. In other words, you can't serve God today, and then tomorrow, you're serving the devil. When you become comfortable with sin, you become unstable in your mind. The Bible calls it double minded. The trappings of the world is designed to keep you from knowing and living for God.

Touch not, taste not, handle not. And if you have touched, tasted and handled, it's time to stop. Don't become comfortable with sin. God bless. Amen.
