"Pray like this:
Our Father in Heaven,
may your name be kept holy. ...
Give us today the food we need..." Matthew 6:9,11
Christ Jesus is a Holy and the Only Perfect Master. Almost all original and quality products have those people who copy them resulting in inferior quality products. Although the inferior products may "look like" the original the difference remains clear after taking a careful look at each product being faked.
Our Perfect Master, Jesus Christ, wants everyone following Him to be exactly like Him. That is one of the reasons He had, and still has, pleasure in teaching His followers how to do things, including prayer.
Part of His Prayer Guidelines are the words that form the beginning of this piece of writing.
He wants His followers, especially the disciples, to know and be sure that, every request must be directed to their Father in Heaven, Whose name is holy.
This means that those who do not have a Father in Heaven cannot access Him until they recognize and love Him to walk intimately with Him. It then that they can call God, "Our Father".
Those words also teach that all requests must be presented before Him and He will do it.
Jesus Christ taught about requesting a daily ration of food. This is important. Food is very important for human existence. Before God ever created man, He had made sufficient provision for his daily feeding. He did not create the first man until all necessary provisions had been made for his comfort.
The request for food should be a daily matter. Do you know that the moment He provides it, He has met the feeding need for the day? Many of the people who have more than their daily bread are involved in daily wastage. They have more than enough and it's a pity that they are not interested in giving the surplus to the needy people who are around them.
Not only that, so many followers of Jesus Christ are given their daily bread but do not see anything special in it because they are blinded by other things that they need (want) from God that He is yet to provide. Therefore, they think there is no reason to be grateful to God. This is wrong. The Lord Who provides their daily bread will meet other things desired by them at the right time.
Certain desires are dangerous ones at the time they are expected to be provided. It may not be in favor of the people who are "hungry" for it. The Creator knows when to meet the request of His people and He will do so perfectly at the right time.
Are supplied with your daily bread? Be thankful with a grateful heart and the Lord your God will surely meet your other needs at the appropriate time. Remain rooted in Christ until He comes to take His Saints home. God bless you richly in Jesus' mighty name.
