This life is so short that it should not be wasted, not to talk of spending it in pain or fear. there are so many who are walking the streets as free men but are in their self-imposed prison. This kind of imprisonment is only known to themselves or some few people who surround them.

What is the source of such an unfriendly experience? The person involved himself! How, you may ask? It comes from the evil plan he has against another person. As soon as he conceives the evil, there is no more room for peace in his heart. He will always be occupied in the heart and in action to carry out the evil he has planned. If the plan fails, he becomes bitter to himself and others who are involved with him.

Not only that, sometimes, an evil action may appear to be "successful" to the planner for a season. The pain or the fear of his heart becomes greater when it is finally discovered that the evil plan ended in success or uplifting of the man who was the target of the evil plan.

It becomes more painful when the target of an evil plan becomes someone who will be the head or boss. How comfortable can an evil planner be and be at peace with himself? Such a fellow has permanently put himself behind bars.
The pain will become more intense when he has to see the man elevated daily.

This was the case with Joseph and his brothers. Reuben and his other nine brothers sold Joseph into slavery and they corporately lied to their father, Jacob.

Many years later, Joseph "resurrected" as the Prime Minister of the then Egypt. Their words depicted the absence of peace in their hearts when they visited the land of Egypt to buy food for the family of Jacob. They concluded that it was the blood of Joseph that was haunting them and was the reason for their being taken as spies.

Many years after, the demise of Jacob took place, the same brothers assembled themselves to Joseph demanding forgiveness for the evil plan they had against him. Joseph, who was filled with the fear of the Lord told them that he was not a replacement for God who repaid people according to their works, whether good or bad.

Do you think that the guilt will be completely erased? That is left to each of them.

What matters most to you and me is that we should free our hearts of any form of evil against anyone. Doing so may lead to putting oneself in prison without anyone knowing about it or even if someone knows about it, he cannot help us to free ourselves.

Beloved Pilgrim, do not conceive, not to talk of planning to execute any evil against anyone so that you will free your heart of any guilt that will create in you any pain of fear that has no end. May the Lord help you to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord all your life in the name of Jesus Christ. The Lord is coming soon, are prepared to meet Him?
