A race is a race and everyone is involved in one form of race or another. Life itself is a race.

Every race has its rules and regulations which guide it. One thing that is common to every race is that it leads to obtaining a reward, this could be called by any chosen name like an award, a crown, a medal, and so on.

Every participant takes every step to ensure that he emerges as a winner. Such a serious man engaged in a race will not leave any stone unturned to ensure his success.

Every runner in a race ensures that he observes all rules and regulations attached to the race. Anyone who violates any rules will be sanctioned accordingly.

No runner in a race engages in criticizing his fellow participants. He is not in a position to assess others who are running to win the same race. He was not concerned about the other contestants. He faces his duty to win the race. He has no time for trivialities.

One of the races in life is the Christian race. Like any other race, it is not the function of a runner to reward himself or give himself an award. It is the Lord alone Who can do that.

Not only that, like any other race, it is not given to a runner to engage in assessing and rewarding or awarding his co-runners. He must run his race and do so successfully.

One thing that is peculiar to the Christian race is that you are not to run it with your might of flesh. You do so with the power of the Holy Spirit that is resident in you.

Run the race with patience. Your rewards are awaiting you.

Warning Please!
Do not join the list of those who claim to run the race but are grossly involved in looking for the faults and mistakes of those who are busy with their race. Are they runners or spectators? I don't know if there is any reward for the spectators at the end of any race. If you have been a member of the spectators, withdraw from the group today and it shall be well with you.

Beloved Pilgrim, be occupied with the running of the race set before you to finish well in the power of the Holy Spirit. Watch and prepare for the imminent coming of the Lord.
