Every December twenty-five is slated for thf the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ. The discussion here is not to ignite a debate on whether or not the date is the true birthday of the Lord or to argue that it should be celebrated or not.

One undeniable point is that Jesus Christ was born. If He had not come into the world, all debates that surround His birth would not have existed.

One thing is also clear, people of God who have accepted the Lord as their Savior have the right to "rejoice forevermore". Not only on the set date for celebrations of the birth of the Lord, but all the days.

It is sad to note that a good percentage of those who celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ do not know the reason for this. It is not for merrymaking alone.

In Joseph's (the husband of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ) dreams when he was contemplating putting away his would-be wife secretly because of her holy conception, he was informed,
"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." Matthew 1:21.

This brings to the forefront, the main reason for Christ's birth. To celebrate Christ's birthday meaningfully, the celebrant should first of all be saved from his sins. His salvation will cause a celebration among the Angels of God for this singular and most important action.

Anyone who wants to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ should first of all be celebrated by the Angels of God because he has been converted into God's Kingdom candidate. Every celebration devoid of this is a meaningless and wasteful one.

Not only that, do you know that the Lord is interested in the members of the household of someone who has reconciled with his Creator? Salvation is not only for a man, it is for others who are members of his house. All of them should be saved.

Beloved Pilgrim, are you saved? Are you born again? Are you reconciled with your God through your Savior, Jesus Christ? If yes, congratulations! Do not go back from following Him. He has the best for you.

Not only that, members of your household need Salvation, have you informed them? Do you pray for the hardhearted ones among them to receive Christ? Please, do, so that you will not be guilty of their blood.

Do you know what? Many people around you are hungry to be saved. This was the case with the Jailer who asked Paul and Silas what he needed to do.
"And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house
.16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house." Acts 16.

Do all within your means to ensure that the people of your house are saved.

If you are a celebrant only of Jesus Christ's birthday without being saved by Him, it is an abuse of purpose. Do not leave the most important undone to engage in the less important. Receive the Lord as your Savior today. Forsake all your wrongdoings and turn back from them forever, He will accept you and your household. It is then your celebrations will be meaningful and unending.

Henceforth, live for Him and watch because He is coming back soon to take His Saints home.
