The Light of the World Part 3

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 NIV

What does it mean that the Light of the world is the light of life? Can one truly live if they are enslaved? I dare to say no. One who is enslaved does what he is enslaved to. He of his own can not conquer it and continues to be enslaved to it. To have true life one must have the Light of the world within their heart, having had enslavement to that which is of this world removed. How can one focus on that which is eternal if they are focused on that which is of this world? Jesus is the Light which brings true life, a life filled with a real purpose and meaning. Let the Light of the world dwell within you!
