To God be the glory Who has given us, people of God, the Living Manual with which we can live our lives profitably. ach person dictates what he wants out of life. Sadly, many people run away from this truth. They prefer to pass the buck on to someone else. When they can find no man to blame for their predicament or misfortune, they take God to be responsible. Whereas, God is never guilty.

Sadly, this buck-passing is very common among brethren in the house of God. Many times, when a son or daughter of God prays fervently with fasting without any results, he/she holds someone or God responsible. This is not right.

Instead of doing that, examine your life. How is your relationship with the poor people around you? How do you see and treat them? When they cry to you, what does your reaction look like? Do you attend to their cry or do you turn deaf ears to their cry?  Your reaction to the cries of the needy will have a direct effect on what you get from God. Your negative reaction can impede answers to your prayers. You can block God from answering your prayers.

If you don't consider the poor to attend to their needs, no one will care to meet your needs. Sowing is reaping. People of God are apt to claim that "but God is merciful". Yes, He is. He also wants His people to be merciful like Him. God does not bless people for their selfish end but that they may show mercy to other people.

Beloved Pilgrim, remove the impediments to your cry for help from God and man, begin to consider the poor, and attend to their cries. You shall be blessed for doing so. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.

Proverbs 21:13; Psalms 41:1.
