"19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? Who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD's servant?
20 Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not. Isaiah 42. (King James Version, KJV).

It is easy for anyone to claim to be a child of God. Such a claim can be with sincerity or not. Do you know that some sons and daughters of God are blind and deaf?

The opening verses of this piece display the Lord's lamentation about His servants. A good percentage of such servants are His sons and daughters who are members of His household, although all His creatures are His servants. He can send them on any errands.

Blind and deaf sons and daughters of God are like idols in the house of their Father.

Having eyes but not seeing and having ears but not hearing are the "attributes" of an idol. What now separates a blind and deaf son and daughter of God from an idol?

Blindness.
It is a blind son or daughter of God who will not be able to see a need to meet in the house or life of people of God. They cannot see it no matter how close the need(s) is to him. Everything to him is going on fine. He does not see anything to adjust, improve or change. All is well by him.

On the other hand, a son or daughter who has eyes and can see will always look for a need to meet in the house of the Lord or the lives of the people of God. He will not wait until someone points to such a need before he does the needful.

Deafness.
This always occurs in the lives of people of God. Besides their inability to see a need to be met, they don't hear when they are informed of such. The number of times they are told or the loudness of the voice of the person proclaiming it notwithstanding. Yet, they have ears but they don't hear.

Saint of the Lord, your God is not happy with deformed sons and daughters in his house. He can heal them. Are you one of them? Please, pray for healing today. Let Him open your eyes to see what needs to be done in the house of God or the life of any of His people. Pray also for the ability to do so.

Not only that, do you know anyone around you who is blind and deaf to things of the Lord? Pray that God opens their eyes and ears to be able to function well in the vineyard of the Lord.

It is not good to be a source of grief to the Lord. That is why He lamented on His servants who are blind and deaf in the book of Isaiah. May you not grieve Him in the name of Jesus Christ. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.

Isaiah 42:19-20; Psalm 115:3-5.
