The Place Of Purity.
"21:5 And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth, women have been kept from us about these three days since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.
21:6 So the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away." 1 Samuel.

By law, a common food is made available for common men. They could not go beyond that. There is an exclusive food reserved for a special class of people who are closer to the Lord their God. These were the Priests. They were the ones who could access the hallowed bread. They possess the exclusive rights to it.

Now, one day, a warrior was hungry and was fleeing for his life and there was no other food besides the hallowed bread. The warrior, David was not one of those recognized Priests in Israel. What could he do?

The name of the Lord is a strong tower where there is safety. His house should be a Haven of safety as well. David ran into the house of God with the hope of getting food but the available food was not for everyone, but for the separated people, the Priests.

Ahimelech, the Priest knew the law associated with the eating of the chewed bread and would not want to break it. He explained the condition to David under which he could have access to the uncommon bread, this was purity; separation from defilement. Staying away from women at the time. He was fit for the uncommon bread.

His response turned the event in their favor, that was David and his men. Their purity changed the uncommon bread to a common food. They ate it.

The position of a pure man in God's scheme of things is not lightly esteemed. He has a great influence on the Earth and before God. Purity should not be taken lightly by the people of God. You have to bear in mind that no unclean things will enter into the kingdom of God.

Beloved reader, do you live in purity? You need to be pure so that you will be able to access the uncommon status in the kingdom of God. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
