"13:24 And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him.
13:25 And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol." Judges.
Before Samson's conception, her mother had been visited by an Angel of God to keep herself holy by staying away from eating defiled things and drinking intoxicating wine because of the glorious child to be born. The woman complied and the child was born.
Each parent has a great role to play in bringing forth a Godly and a child of great destiny.
After birth and maturity, the onus of keeping fit for the use of the Lord rests wholly on the servant of God. On the job assigned by the Lord, some spirits will contend and contest for the use of a servant of God.
One, the spirit of the flesh will do all to be in control. If care is not taken, a servant of God will end up obeying the spirit of the flesh and he will think it is the spirit of God. Certainly, the flesh cannot achieve anything for the Lord because it works at cross-purposes with God.
Two, an evil spirit will try as much as possible to take over the affairs of a man of God to ruin the purpose of God for him. Certain servants of the Lord are under the control of evil spirits and they are convinced that they are being used by the Lord. There is a need for self-examination.
Such people will engage in how to pull another ministry or Minister down. They never think that the work belongs to the Creator of all things.
Three, the Spirit of God will want to direct the affairs of a man of God to do the work of God when, where, and how the Lord wants him to do it.
A servant of God should work by the Spirit of the Lord. He should identify how the Holy Spirit talks or leads him and needs to obey Him only. It is the work of the Lord carried out by the leading of the Holy Spirit that will be rewarded at the right time on this Earth and in Eternity.
Apostle Paul's lamentation about his experience with people who were under the authority of the spirits of the flesh and evil spirits goes thus,
"1:15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
1:16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
1:17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the gospel.
1:19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ." Philippians.
To God be the glory, the Apostle realized that he could not do away with the Prayer of the brethren and the supply of the Holy Spirit.
To you my beloved reader, as a servant of Jesus Christ, who is your Instructor? Examine your life very well. Are you under the influence of the spirit of the flesh, (Galatians 5:19-21). Or under the control of evil spirits who are thieves, John 10:10(b)?
Reposition yourself to be controlled by the Holy Spirit Who knows the heart of your God and reveals the same to you about the assignment He gave you. Without following the instructions of the Lord through the Holy Spirit, you will end up in the hands of other unprofitable spirits, God forbid!
May the Lord keep you under His direct and total control in Jesus' mighty name. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
