Being a servant can be in various forms.
One thing is sure, whenever you speak of a servant, a Master or Mistress is not lacking. In addition to that, service is involved. In other words, a servant provides a service to his Master and/or Mistress.
This piece is directed at Masters and Mistresses for their advantage. It is to be noted that to be a Master is not a new invention or innovation; it has been in existence for ages.

Do you know that being a servant does not take away the truth that he is a human being? Blood runs through his veins and arteries as it does in you. Therefore, he deserves to be valued. Not only that, he may have something you don't have, no matter how highly placed or wealthy you may be.

Let us consider the case study of the wife of an exalted Captain's wife and her maidservant. The story is taken from the Holy Bible.

[2]"At this time Aramean raiders had invaded the land of Israel, and among their captives was a young girl who had been given to Naaman’s wife as a maid.
[3]One day the girl said to her mistress, “I wish my master would go to see the prophet in Samaria. He would heal him of his leprosy.” 2 Kings 5.

Naaman was an outstanding army general who was respected by his boss and other people. Will you say he was not wealthy? I doubt it much. He was a conqueror who have overcome many nations but he could not conquer his leprosy. He was abiding by it. He resigned to his fate. His wife also accepted to bear the reproach.

However, one notable day came when a maid brought out what she had which the family of her boss did not have. The solution to leprosy!

Do you know that the young girl's suggestion was a direct product of her Mistress' relationship with her? Will you believe that the Madam's kindness cannot be divorced from the intervention of the maidservant?

If she knew flogging would follow saying what he said, do you think she would talk?
If she would be punished in any form, she would have kept her mouth shut. The husband of her boss who also was her boss, Naaman would have died as a leper.
When she brought the suggestion, no one spanked her. It was taken.

What was the outcome of the suggestion? The Holy Bible records,
[14]"So Naaman went down to the Jordan River and dipped himself seven times, as the man of God had instructed him. And his skin became as healthy as the skin of a young child, and he was healed!" 2 Kings 5.

This was the outcome of the servant's counsel to her Mistress and Master, the Naamans.

Beloved, there is wisdom in valuing your servant. Have a change of attitude today if you have been harsh to your servant and you will be happier for doing so. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
