“How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” John 3:4 NIV

Poor Nicodemus. Through all he was taught in becoming a teacher of Israel, his mind had been confined to a small box full of literal interpretations of everything. These were interpretations of man, trying to interpret that which God had conveyed. How much more refreshing it is to be able to think beyond literal interpretation, to think outside of the box. How many individuals would like to be reborn again to a different life compared to the one which they had lived. Well, that is possible, but not in the flesh. The rebirth needs to be in the Spirit. Once the Spirit comes alive the individual is changed. The amount of change depends on the heart of the individual, and of course the amount of time can be a big part in spiritual growth.
