Seeing The Kingdom

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” John 3:3 NIV

Why must one be reborn to see the kingdom of God? The kingdom of God is so different from the kingdom of this earth. The earthly kingdom is full of material possessions, meeting our needs, and the list goes on. The kingdom of God does not include material possession. In the kingdom of God all our needs are met in Christ Jesus. One cannot see the kingdom of God unless one can understand about it. Of our own we cannot understand God’s kingdom. But through the indwelling Holy Spirit one is led to an understanding of the Kingdom of God. One must be born of the Spirit to see God’s kingdom, and this requires a rebirth as we are not born of our own to God’s kingdom. We need a Savior to bring us to an understanding of the kingdom of God, one who sacrificed that we might be redeemed.
