The unbeliever is spiritually lost, at least in terms of the Spirit of God. They may be able to hear things with their ears and see things with their eyes, yet they do not understand or perceive God in that which they see and hear. They can only use their senses as to how they relate to things of this world. They have no way to use their senses to relate to God. This is either a choice they have made (most cases) or if in a very remote area they may never have really been introduced to Christ. Our job is to share the Good News that all may know.
