A man, some decades ago needed the original copy of his certificate from an examination body. Normally, this may take him some time. Frequent visits to the body on the instructions of workers would not be lacking. The money would be involved in one way or the other.

He was just lamenting on this matter in the presence of a friend and that man disclosed that he will give him a note to a classmate working with the examination body if he had not left the place because they have not seen each other for many years.

He gave the note and on reading it, the worker rejoiced to read from his former classmate. He sat him down in a comfortable office with drinks. The next thing that followed was the certificate which was delivered to him, without any extra money demanded. He went once and got what he wanted.

The official added, "Tell my friend not to write a note next time. He should send anyone to me with only his name."

Do you learn any lessons from that?

The Scriptures have this to say, "22:1 A GOOD name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold. Proverbs.

In your journey of life, you have to walk in a way that you will sow good now to reap the benefits in the future. The benefits will not only be yours but others with you. Begin to build a good name by doing good work today.

This was the confidence David had in his days of trouble to demand what was normal from the right source. The Scriptures informs,  "25:5 And David sent out ten young men, and David said unto the young men, Get you up to Carmel, and go to Nabal, and greet him in my name.
25:8 Ask thy young men, and they will shew thee. Wherefore let the young men find favor in thine eyes: for we come in a good day: give, I pray thee, whatsoever cometh to thine hand unto thy servants, and to thy son David." 1 Samuel.

Those words suggest that David had Nabal's servants as witnesses of his kind gesture to him and all that he had in the wilderness. He was sure of his good work towards the man in wealth.
Although the request was not met directly by Nabal Abigail yielded to it. David was satisfied. His name worked.

What is the worth of your name? Do you have a good reputation in your home, family, vicinity, society, and place of work and among people you are dealing with?

If you are among those who think, say and do things with an attitude of 'I don't care what anyone says or thinks.", remember that you are not living in a vacuum; you are writing a story of your life in the hearts of people. It will become very difficult to erase your writings in people's hearts.

When you have forgotten an evil you have done, people will remember. Therefore, watch what you think, say, and do. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
Note:
All Scriptures quoted are from the King James Version of the Holy Bible.
