You have possessions as a child of God. The Lord your God is a and loving Father. As His child, He has a portion of Hior you. You must realize this so that the enemy of your soul will not be able to feast on your ignorance.

In the story of the prodigal son contained in the Gospel according to Luke in chapter fifteen and in verse twelve, we read,
"And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living."
Why was he able to make such a request? He was sure that he was the son of the man who was his father. Not only that, he knew very well that his father had goods or estates that are sure.

To crown it all, he knew as a son that he is entitled to a certain portion of his father's estate.
Do you know what? He did not keep quiet. He went to his father to ask for his right which was given to him by the father who recognized him as a son.

Are you also a child of God? Does He see you as one of His children? Do you have the required boldness to approach Him for what rightly belongs to you?

You may be in another person's possession that will not be given to you. Do you know that you can make the mistake of camping in the possession of another person which will not be given to you? In Deuteronomy 2:3,5, the Lord God of Israel told His people on their way to the promised land flowing with milk and honey,
[3]"You have been wandering around in this hill country long enough; turn to the north.
[5]Do not bother them, for I have given them all the hill country around Mount Seir as their property, and I will not give you even one square foot of their land."

It is not impossible that you are brought to a point or a place where you enjoy temporary comfort and you think that you have reached your place of possession when you are to move forward. Do not hesitate to follow further to possess your land. Do not covet what God had given to another person forever.

You may slack to possess it. If you know that you have a possession to possess, why should you be slow to act right? You need to do so at the right time to avoid a waste of time and life. This was the problem with the people of God in the days of Joshua, the son of Nun. He told them, "18:3 And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?" Joshua.

Encourage yourself to take the necessary steps towards possessing your possession. Be encouraged also by the people who utter words to stir up your spirit to do the needful to enter into your rest. Therefore, stand up to possess your possession! Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
