Fill My Cup Lord          Jane H. Young

There is a beautiful song called “Fill My Cup Lord” and the words should be every Christian’s cry to God.

Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up, Lord!

Come and quench this thristing of my soul;

Bread of heaven, Feed me till I want no more-

Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole!

You can crave anything this world has to offer for your entire life, but it will never match the wonderful treasures that we find in Our Lord. We should thrist  for God over everything else, desire to be in His presence, to feel His love, to live ours lives according to His direction. Oh, my heart leaps with joy just thinking of how our world would  look.

I am sure you have heard the saying full to the brim. What if we get full to the brim with God and then ask Him to fill our cup just another little bit. When we get that little bit more, it be  like a River overflowing it’s banks, there is nothing in its path that can slow it down or stop it. This will only happen when we get  thirsty for God, when we lift our selves up to Him, then and only then will Gods love in you start to overflow to your family, friends, people at work and everyone you meet. 

The things this world has given you, has only left you with hungers that won’t go away,

Like the woman at the well she was seeking

For things that could not satisfy;

And then she heard our Savior speaking: 

“Jesus answered and said to her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life."” John 4:13-14 NASB

 Thought: Imagine Gods presence, peace and joy overflowing from you because you took the time to say  “Fill My Cup Lord” .
