Dear God,

As I reflect on this past year,

I am thankful for your many blessings and continual provision of my needs,

I am thankful for friends, family and all the people that I have met this year,

I am thankful for the areas in my life where I have seen growth and victory,

And I am also thankful for the ways in which you have used the challenges of this past year,

To strengthen my trust in you,

Yet Lord, as I look ahead to the new year,

I can’t help but wonder what will be ahead of me,

I look forward to more times of joy and celebrations,

And I am excited about the goals and plans that I have made for the future,

Yet, I also know that there will be challenging times ahead,

And there will be seasons next year when my faith will be severely tested,

But I thank you Lord that you always remain the same,

You are always faithful and you will always be with me,

And no matter what lies ahead for me in 2022,

I know that every situation that I will face will be firmly in your hands,

So as I step out into the new year,

Please help me to remain firm in my trust in you,

And to remember that you will continue to work out your good plans in my life,

Through both the good and bad times I will face,

Please enable me to keep serving you faithfully each day,

And may my life be a pleasing and sweet-smelling sacrifice to you,

So that in 2022 and beyond,

I would continue to bring you glory.
