Lord God,

I thank you for this Christmas season,

And for the opportunity to be reminded anew of the good news of Jesus,

But as I joyfully celebrate this time,

I am reminded of the brokenness around me,

And that I live in a world that is very much in need of hope and love,

So this Christmas season,

I pray that you would challenge me to show radical love,

And to share your blessings not only with friends and family,

But to anybody whom I cross paths with,

Challenge me to give beyond my limits,

So that I may bless one more person in need this Christmas season,

Give me a willing heart that I would open my home to others,

And find ways to keep serving others around me,

Please fill me with compassion for those who may be sick or grieving during this time,

And give me the wisdom to know how to bring them love and comfort,

Please fill me with inexpressible joy and the desire to proclaim the good news of Jesus,

That everyone I meet would come to know the joy and hope that I have in Christ,

I pray that you would empower me to keep loving others without limit,

As I remember your own limitless love for us,

Expressed through the sending of your own dear Son into our world,

The greatest Christmas present that we could ever receive.
