Lord God,

In our broken world,

It feels like disaster can hit any of us at any time,

With all the bad news that we hear each day,

We are reminded that none of us are immune to danger,

But I thank you that you remain in control Lord,

And that we are never outside of your care,

I thank you that you know my every fear and worry,

And that you are always working for my best interests,

So I pray for your protection,

And I pray that you would continue to guide my steps wherever I go,

Please protect me from other people who would wish me harm,

Please protect me from injustice,

Please protect me from illness and other unexpected circumstances,

That threaten to turn my life upside down,

Please also protect me from the attacks of the devil,

Who is constantly working to bring about my downfall,

Lord, I pray that my fear of danger,

Wouldn’t lead me to become paralysed,

And ineffective in serving you,

But as I continue to step out in faith each day,

May you help me to find peace,

And rest in the truth that you go with me,

And no disaster that I face will be beyond what I can handle,

May I be reminded that I am under your loving watch,

Both now and forevermore.
