These Two Men

Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders. With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away. He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds. John 19:38-39 NV

These two men were the ones who chose to bury the body of our Lord. They were secretly followers of Christ, though they feared the Jewish leaders, of which one was Nicodemus.

Are we secret followers of the Lord, or do we make it quite clear with are thoughts, words, and deeds that the Lord is our Master and Savior? There are many lost souls who need to know about Jesus and see Him living in the hearts of those who follow Him. Let the light of Jesus Christ shine in and through you for others to see!
