“You are a king, then!” said Pilate. John 18:37a NIV
Pilate certainly was right in stating that Jesus is a king, but unfortunately he missed the point of what Jesus was saying about His kingdom. Why did not Pilate ask Jesus where His kingdom was, since He said it was not of this earth? Pilate was grasping at the small point of what Jesus was saying to him.
When Jesus speaks to us through the Holy Spirit, do we truly grasp what He is saying, or are we only catching a very small piece of that which He is attempting to tell us. Ask the Holy Spirit to direct you to the full truth of that which is being shared with you. Much comes from truly understanding and acting upon what the Lord says to you.
