Meanwhile, the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and his teaching. “I have spoken openly to the world,” Jesus replied. “I always taught in synagogues or at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret. Why question me? Ask those who heard me. Surely they know what I said.” John 18:19-21 NIV

Actually, Jesus here stood before the former high priest. Notice that Jesus did not speak on His own behalf. Jesus speaks on behalf of the Heavenly Father. He knew that many who had heard Him speak would speak on His behalf, but this is not what Annas wanted to hear. The fact that Jesus was winning many Jews over to Him and away from the scribes and Pharisees had much to do with why they wished to kill Him.

So, you speak on behalf of Jesus? Have you shared what He has done for you with others? Jesus loves it when we share with others about what He has done for us. Have no fear in sharing the Good News. The world must hear that which is the Truth!
