When he had finished praying, Jesus left with his disciples and crossed the Kidron Valley. On the other side there was a garden, and he and his disciples went into it. John 18:1 NIV
Just as original sin entered the world with the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, so again sin against God enters into a garden with the forthcoming betrayal of Jesus shortly after His entrance into the garden here. Sin can and does occur all over, even in a place that one would associate with peace and tranquility. It only takes a disobedient will to succumb to the lure of that which is sinful.
We must constantly pray that we not be led into temptation. When we are overcome by sin we must quickly turn to our Lord for forgiveness and redemption.
