Joy Not Taken Away

A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. John 16:21-22 NIV

Here the Lord presents an allegory to the disciples which would hopefully help them to understand their upcoming situation. Seeing the Lord again after His resurrection certainly filled their hearts with joy, a joy which no one could take away from them as they had seen Him crucified and yet He would stand before them again alive!

Most assuredly the Lord can provide to you a joy in your heart and soul which no one or nothing can steal away from you. If you wish to have a joy which remains with you forever, then believe in the Lord. Give yourself totally to Him. You shall then have that joy!
